Elopement photographer in Brisbane

Thinking of skipping the big production? Good call. I'm an elopement photographer in Brisbane, and small days are some of my favourites.

Just the two of you, or a handful of your favourite people. A Brisbane elopement is a day that's actually about you, not the seating chart.

Couple in silhouette against a blue and gold sky, one lifted up and kissing the other.

Why me

Fifteen years and 450 weddings have taught me one thing. The best photos happen when nobody's performing.

With an elopement there's no crowd to hide in, so I keep it easy. A bit of chat. A few silly prompts if you need them. Then I step back and let you two get on with it.

I won't line you up or ask you to gaze into the distance. If you laugh halfway through your vows, that's the photo.

You'll stop noticing the camera sooner than you think.

What I'm looking forward to

I'll be straight with you. I haven't photographed an elopement in Queensland yet. I land in November 2026.

What I can't wait for? The river first thing in the morning. A lookout in the hills. A quiet bit of beach before anyone else is up. Or your backyard — honestly, that counts too.

And if your spot needs a walk to get there, even better. I love a hike.

Elopement questions

Do we need a permit to elope in a park or on a beach?

Sometimes. It depends on the spot and who looks after it. I'm new to Queensland's rules, so I won't guess. I'll help you check before you lock anything in.

What if our spot is more than 100 km from Brisbane?

Then I'll quote travel for your destination. Tell me where, and you'll get a straight number.

Will it feel awkward with no guests around?

Nearly every couple asks me this. I'll keep it light and give you easy things to do. The moment something real happens, I get out of the way.

How many photos will we get?

No set number. Every good one gets edited and delivered. Your full gallery arrives within 6–8 weeks.

Got a date and a rough idea where?

Ask me if I'm free. No pressure, just a chat.
