Byron Bay wedding photographer

Getting married in Byron Bay? Then you probably already know you don't want anything stiff.

I'm a Byron Bay wedding photographer coming down from Brisbane, over the border into NSW, and I'll fit right in.

Couple embrace in silhouette in front of a glowing tipi and lit willow trees at night.

Why me

Fifteen years behind the camera taught me this: the best moments are rarely the planned ones.

Your mate's speech going off the rails. Your mum fixing your collar one last time. The two of you sneaking off for five quiet minutes.

I'm there for all of it, without directing any of it.

I'm a husband and a dad of two girls, so family chaos doesn't faze me. I just keep shooting.

And after 450 weddings? I still get butterflies.

What's included for Byron Bay

  • Premium · from $6,500. Two lead photographers, an engagement and portrait session, priority gallery delivery. Travel anywhere in Australia is included, so Byron is covered.
  • Full Day · from $5,500. The whole day, up to 12 hours, with a second shooter beside me. Engagement session and social media content too. Byron travel quoted separately.
  • All the Formalities · from $4,200. From getting ready to your first dance, 8–9 hours, with my assistant. Engagement session included. Byron travel quoted separately.
  • Elopement · from $1,800. Up to 4.5 hours, ceremony and couple portraits. Travel to Byron quoted on top.

Byron Bay is in New South Wales, so the Queensland travel in my packages doesn't reach it. Premium includes it; for the others I'll quote travel upfront.

Your date is yours once the $500 booking fee is in. It's taken off your total, and the rest is due 4 weeks out.

Two brides share their first dance in a tipi under a disco ball as friends sing into microphones.
Black and white of two women dancing, long hair flying and skirts swishing against a dark background.
Black and white of a bridesmaid flinging a long lace veil out over the bride as she gets ready.

What I'm looking forward to

I haven't photographed a wedding in Byron yet. I won't pretend otherwise.

I've heard plenty, though. The beaches, the lighthouse, the hills behind town. Laid-back seems to be the whole point down there, which suits me fine.

If your day involves a beach, a view or a bit of a walk, I'm all in.

“You had such a relaxed and friendly presence that it felt completely natural having you there with us, and it really shows in the photos.”

Byron Bay questions

Do you travel to Byron Bay from Brisbane?

Yes. Premium includes the travel. For the other packages, I'll quote it for your date, so there are no surprises.

Is it a problem that Byron is across the border?

Not for me. I'll sort the drive and the timing. You won't have to think about it.

Can we elope in Byron?

Yes. If you want a beach or another public spot, there may be rules or a permit. I'm not going to guess at NSW law — I'll help you check.

What happens if it pours?

Then your wet weather plan takes over, and I make the most of it. Rain changes the photos. It doesn't ruin them.

Fancy having me down for your day?

Send me your date. I'll tell you if I'm free, and we'll go from there.
